December 2007 - Pre-Buy Clamshells

The annual trend of decreasing PP and PET material prices in the fourth quarter have not held true in 2007. Our PP and PET suppliers are not forecasting a price decrease until crude oil pricing drops significantly. Pre-buys on Strawberry Baskets and Clamshells are a great option for growers that would like purchase inventory ahead of forecasted price increases in 2008.
